Batter died during firmware download. Now unti won't charge

My Garmin Nuvi 3490 battery died during firmware and map update and now (1) it won't take a charge - I assume because the firmware is scrambled and (2) Garmin Express won't recognize the unit since it can't turn on. What can I do?

If it also does't turn on when u plug in the USB cable there is only one solution....send it in for repair/xchange.
