I don't think you'll find a device that already has the maps you want installed. I've used handheld gps's for years, but I've never cared for looking at map detail on that tiny screen. So my preference is paper maps or maps downloaded to my laptop or tablet. Many of which you can get free. So I tend to just use my device to give me direction, stats and to record my track and then review it later on a pc/mac. But I don't do serious hiking where weight is an issue.

You'll get lat/long from just about any garmin device. I'd think the U.S. Topo maps are what you'd want, and there are some in the Garmin Montana and Oregon series that come with them pre-installed. With many garmin devices you can now add your free maps such as Open Street Maps, but that can be a big learning curve for some and frequently a lot of effort for the result. My main gps for handheld use is GPSMap76csx. Old but still works quite well. I think the garmin Montana series is the one many favor now but I've not used one.
