Split the activity by 1km in garmin connect

I would love to see how my pace / heart rate changes during my long runs or races.
How I performed on the first kolometer compared to how I performed on the last one.

So I would use some button in garmin connect, that would allow me splitting the activity to laps by 1km or 1 minute for example.

I know I can set it on my device (910xt) before the workout, but I prefer not to use my device for it.
  • I would like to see this, too. If other sites can do it, I'm sure that Garmin can make this happen, too.

I don't use autolaps because I do laps of sometimes odd distance depending on where I run. It would be great to see both the laps created manually on the watch and the kilometer splits created by GC.
  • Mile / Kilometer splits in Garmin Training Center

The old Garmin Training Center desktop software has a view feature of "Split Pace" which, I believe, does not require any special device settings. I use this all the time in training (especially helpful in tempo runs) and in analyzing races. Problem is, Garmin Connect doesn't offer this feature. It seems like a "basic" for long distance running and training, so I cannot understand why it's missing. It's a pain, but as a workaround (with my new 310 Forerunner), I now download the data from Garmin Connect (one activity at a time) and import into the old Garmin Training Center app (which has a better note feature for journaling anyway). I've seen other related posts to split pace on GC, so hopefully Garmin is listening and will add the feature back in.

    Hello Snopike,

I too use Training Center because it has nifty features that Connect does not have.

Here is a great training feature on TC.
There is a table at the bottom of the "Totals" tab that will display the amount of Time and Distance spent in each training Zone that you have set up.

Also....since you have been using the ANT to upload your 310 (or any other ANT device) to Garmin Connect then you can batch upload all previous rides to Training Center.

ANT has been storing every upload you have made to GC in a hidden folder on your computer.
Just open TC, have the ANT plugged in, your devices do not need to be on or plugged in, click the icon "Receive From Device" in the top row.
ANT will batch upload all your rides to the bottom area below your folders in TC.
