Nüvi 3590LM No "voice" when driving

Hi all,

After recent update I have lost "voice". The unit beeps as normal when I enter destination and I also have "voice" when I use simulation but not when I actually drive. As far as I can see all settings are correct.

All assistance gratefully received.

Issues that occur after updating are normally fixed with a hard reset. I'd try that if you're sure your settings are correct.

I just tried it again, still no voice...until I disconnect from the car cable. Then I get "voice" back immediately.

Any Ideas, unit or car cable?

Well it seems there was a bug in Express last year which has reappeared in the latest Express. Your best bet assuming you don't have a back up of your files, in which case simply copy the voice files back, is to log into myGarmin and go to the myDashboard tab. Scroll down to voices and select the ones you need, this avoids uisng Express.
