Internal server error when uploading ?

Former Member

My 305 is not uploading due to "internal server error". Any ideas on what this message means? How can it be fixed.
Thanks in advance
Mike
  • I'm having the same problem with my 610 after running a marathon this morning that I really want to analyze. I tried uploading .TCX and .FIT files manually in both IE and Chrome with no luck. I hope this gets fixed soon!

Same problem here. I raced this morning and when I got back to the car to sync the ride with the phone (to auto upload) the upload worked fine. The workout in duration showed on my phone. But when I got home, I saw that it was not on GC. Tried manual upload and no luck, just the server error. There seems to the same issue all over the Garmin forums for all various devices. So most likely something is wrong with GC at the moment. Will try again tomorrow.

    Agreed

Same issue with my FR 10. Hope this is a website related error so I can upload my new activities later on. I don´t quite understand why Garmin doesn´t make an anouncement on this issue.

I'm having the same problem. Ran a race today and came home to upload and got same server error message. Uploaded latest update, deleted all old activity, and went for walk around block to test. Got same message again.

gps forerunner 305 internal server error

Yep, me too. Using the 510.

I've had my unit for three years and never got this. Had a great bike ride from upstate new York that got deleted. Would like to know when this will get fixed before I try to upload more rides.
  • Even though the file was deleted from the device, there should be a .fit file on your computer.
    On my Win8, it's located under: C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming\GARMIN\Devices\3827787998\Garmin Connect\Pending Uploads
    You can search for *.fit.
I tested that it's a valid file by uploading to strava.com (free limited account).
  • Seems to be a problem with the site today. To be safe, your pending uploads, in the form of .fit files should be in the following folder:

    On Windows Vista/7/8:
    C:\Users\<user name>\AppData\Roaming\Garmin\Devices\<device ID>\Garmin Connect\Pending Uploads

I recommend uploading your activities to another site or to Garmin Training Center until the issue is resolved.
  • I'm having with the same issue with an Edge 500. I suspect it's a problem with the Garmin Connect server(s)...

    Same here

This is the message I get when trying to upload a ride. it says 'failed' click on failed to see why. It then says internal server error.

Same for me - did two runs on the weekend, tried to upload them and the same error message is coming up for me. I think there's a few suffering from this right now - hopefully Garmin sort it out soon.
  • I tried to login to GC earlier today and got a down for maintenance message. Seems to be working now, though I have not tried to upload.
  • I'm having the same problem today with my Forerunner 305, both from the device and as a manual upload.
