Issues with Nuvi 3580

I got this device from Costco Canada and it has some issues

1) I cannot set "Current Location", it always says my current location is "Olathe, KS" which is not in Canada.
When I try to search a address, it "Searching near, Olathe, KS"
2) I cannot turn off device.
I click power button and click "off" on screen. The screen becomes black and then it automatically restart by itself and it does not load map when restart.
3) the siginal indicator is always grey.

Could anyone here help me before I return it back?

    You'd probably be better off calling Garmin Support. However exchanging it at Costco for another is reasonable too. If you are in the house while trying out your nuvi, it's common not to be able to get a good signal, so you should disable the GPS and put it in demo mode. However, I'm not sure about your other issues. that's why I think calling Garmin Support might be more helpful.

    For nuvi questions, I find http://forums.gpsreview.net/ has more nuvi users. Surprisingly, Garmin only lists its fitness devices on this forum.

    A friend on mine just has a similar problem. I called Garmin for him and was told that it was stuck in demo mode. Here are the instruction they gave me.
    Turn unit on
    Select volume on main screen
    Place finger on top right corner of screen and hold until it changes
    Scroll down to demo mode and select
    next screen: select disable demo mode
    select yes
    return to main screen and you should be in your current location.

    sorry did not response for a long time.
    the issue 1 and 3 were resolved after reloading SW. Issue 2 seemed never been resolved completely.
    the screen becomes black after holding power key or turn off the car, but never shows me if you want to power off on the device, which I saw from other 3580.
    there is funny thing that it cannot find Costco Kitchener by entering address where I got this device.

    few days ago I went to US with this device and hope it can help me on the highway, but i could not power it on, it is totally died. I am going to return this device these days.
