Garmin Connect App on iPad reloads activities

It seems like every time a new activity is downloaded to my iPad Garmin Connect app all of the old activities are removed and then re-downloaded in reverse chronological order. Is this by design or is there a glitch in the app? The activity screen goes blank with a message saying "downloading activities" and all the old ones are temporarily gone as it re-downloads them. Just takes a bit of time.

    I am having the same issue. Takes a very long to to load every ride since I bought my 810 in April. Why does the app do this and is there a fix.
