I set the Fenix in UltraTrack mode with default 1mn sampling.
I got moving in the mountains (i.e. not in straight line, relatively low speed). The trace I get has a very bad accuracy, 50m to 200m away from the path (basically you jumped over the cliff or wonder for hours looking for the path if you try to use this trace again :( forget about statistics too :().
I expected the trace to have segments, not to be totally out of the path. It seams that the UltraTrack mode does not let the Fenix synchronize properly at its new position before recording it.
Energy saved but result useless. Could there be some way to have a good trace or to set minimum required accuracy?
NB it is not a matter of signal, I tried this several times on routes with good satellite reception. I also tried it with GPS in normal mode, the trace is accurate.
Is this UltraTrack purely marketing?
I've read the the Owner manual from cover to cover, watched the Garmin tutorial videos. There is not mention of such limitation!
Any suggestions to get a proper trace with UltraTrack Mode?
[By the way, there is no Fenix dedicated thread, that is why I post here.]
