nüvi 2595 screen after waking up

Hello,

i have a nüvi 2595. It is always connected to power, goes into sleep if i turn off the engine and wakes up if i start the engine (its like i want it).

After waking up the nüvi sometimes stays on the main screen and sometimes it goes on map-view where it shows my current location. I dont understand why it sometimes does this or that. Can someone explain me this?

How can i tell the nüvi to always stay on main screen or always on the map-view?

I think nuvi's transition to the map page automatically if they detect movement above a certain speed (5mph?) although I could be mistaken. If that's the case the transition may occur at startup, during satellite acquisition, because a good fix has not be obtained (and false movement is indicated).

So are you saying it does always go into map-view if i drive above 5mph?

I think so yes. That should be easy enough for you to try/test.

I don't recall ever seeing a setting for it.

Possibly. Again it should be easy to test.

I manually select the map page on my 1490T but I seem to recall an automatic transition in the past.
