"Send to Device" is sending the wrong course

I created a course from an activity, then changed the route a bit, and then clicked "Send to Device". The course appeared on the device (Edge 800), but it's the wrong one -- it appears to be the original activity. I sent it about 6 times, the final time after removing all courses from the device. I always get the wrong course.

I have sent courses to my Edge 800 before, and it worked. I don't know whether Garmin broke something, or whether the bug is subtle.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is there a workaround?
