Garmin Connect iPhone App Ver 1.2 issues

Since the latest update to Ver 1.2 the App has been randomly clearing all saved activities and then downloading them all again... Problem with this is that until all the activities (way back to about Feb or March) are downloaded again the new activities will not upload. Also of course the data load must be high to transfer literally hundreds of activities. I have tried deleting and re-installing the App but no improvement. Anyone experiencing the same.

    Connect v1.2 - repeated downloads

    Same here - seems to be triggered by using multiple devices...? When a second device sees a change in activities, it just goes ahead with a total reload. Vert tedious!!
  • Same problem here. Could we limit the number of item we want to download. I'm using connect stats to review historical training.

    Same problem here. Old activities are deleted and reloaded. Uploads take days. Does Garmin ever respond to these posts?
  • I have exactly the same issue. I complete an activity, upload it to my iPhone from the Garmin and then the Garmin connect app craps out, all the activities clear and it has to start downloading them all again from the web site. I have hundreds of activities and this takes hours. Only after all the activities are downloaded will it upload the new activity(s).

    Last software update clearly has problems. I don't think there is any way to roll it back. I agree on the PITA factor, plus it's chewing through my data (both wireless and WIFI). Posts have been going for a while on this. FIX IT ALREADY GARMIN!

    arrrghhh!!!! Live track no longer works and uploading does not work (in the last six attempts there was one time that it worked giving me false hope). Disappointing is an understatement. There are clearly problems at Garmin with the app and the 810 which cannot even consistently do turn by turn navigation (it is a GPS unit after all). The spam on this forum also indicates a lack of quality control at all levels.

    Can't agree more. Very disappointing since installing the last update. Basically it's unusable in my opinion. Garmin you really need to acknowledge there's issues here and address them.

    Same here. I was actually pretty happy to see the update available thinking the basic bugs would be the ones addressed. Noop. Does anyone know what bugs were addressed?

    App used to work well, then the new update that gave ability to change activity title from within app and ever since that version it has become useless!!!

    Constantly wipes all cached activities and downloads them all again, this must be hitting users download allowances, plus garmins servers must be being loaded with apps constantly downloading. This never used to happen in older app!

    You have to wait for all activities to download before you can upload a new one by Bluetooth, so the whole reason for upgrading to 510 is now pointless - quicker to plug into PC.

    App crashes when downloading activities - wipes them and then you have to start over!

    Come on garmin look at App Store reviews this is not good!
  • Oh and forgot ... Live track no longer works either ... Garmin do you test your app at all?

    A regularly cycle areas with mobile phone dead spots so maybe app can't cope with that and recover when back in reception area.
