I just received a replacement E Trex Legend Hcx as the power switch went bad on my one I owned so I turned the unit in to Garmin for repair/replacement. They sent be a replacement. I installed the same SD map card I used in my defunct unit but the mapping will not appear on the replacement unit. Yes I installed it correctly. Does anyone know what the problem is? I do not know how any of this Garmin forum works. How would I get any reponses?

Well if the map on the card contains an unlock code (i.e. one downloaded from Garmin, a road map etc) then it is locked to your original (and faulty) unit. You'll have to call Garmin and explain the situation. They should issue you new unlock codes, let you re-download the map etc.
The map came on a preprogrammed data card "City Nav N. America NT" and came in a Garmin case.
That card should work in any Garmin unit. A few thoughts.
The card made not be inserted correctly in your eTrex. I've had that problem with my Oregon 450 in the past. The card and socket are quite small and they have to align perfectly.
The card may've been damaged. Can you try it in a card reader (on a computer) and verify that it is functional?
