Goal: Find my car when I park at large events (example NFL foodball games) using SmartLink
Hardware and software:I have Nuvi 2597, Iphone 4S running the latest iOS6.1.3, Downloaded Smart Link app
Issue: I cannot find instructions on how to use the “Last Mile” or the Smart Link app.
What I have tried: I have tried to just use it. I can go into my garage and start my car. The Nuvi comes on. It links to the smart phone via blue tooth. I can make a call thru the Nuvi. Now turn the car off, the Garmin Nuvi GPS off, come in the house, open the app, click on Last Mile and it shows my car is 39 miles away. Yes, I was at that spot. It is the spot where I first linked the Iphone to the Nuvi.
Other Comments: using this Smart Link app is not intuitive at all. In fact it’s very frustrating. I have spent so much time trying to figure this out its embarrassing and annoying. I have googled it, looked at YouTube videos, lots of places talk about it but no one explains how to use it. I’m sure once the solution is found it will seem obvious however sitting here pre-solution it’s so vexing at this point I wish I never purchased this thing.
What you can do for me: Tell me where the instructions are for using the Last Mile or Smart Link app. I have tried using the Garmin site, I can find other manuals but no instructions or manual for the SmartLink app.
