Have purchased montana 600 it came with GB discoverer 1:50 maps on sd card.Then purchased euro city navigator on cd with mind to put both sets on one sd card.Registered cd and downloaded to computer as with the Discoverer maps,then transferred both to a 64gb first (after a phone call man at garmin says wont work card too big) and then 8 gb card but when card inserted to montana and switched on press maps and nothing just blank white screen and flashing "?" gone into map settings and neither sets of maps are listed. Checked card with card reader and both files are listed at 3gb each. Can anyone help before I set out for refunds etc. BIG THANKS IF YOU CAN.
Did you just copy the files from the DVD to the SD card? That doesn't work; you need to install it first onto your computer, unlock it for the Montana and transfer it to the internal memory (because you can't put it together with the Discoverer maps on a blank SD) with MapInstall.
Install the map and Garmin BaseCamp; run BaseCamp afterwards. It will detect that the map isn't unlocked and will guide you through the process.

Before you can download map detail to a memory card or directly to your compatible device, you must unlock the DVD. Simply follow the instructions on the certificate that comes with the DVD to unlock the entire DVD. Then, you can download the data to a data card or to your compatible device.
Did you install the map on your computer? Use the installation program on the DVD... It isn't that hard, but don't forget to read the instructions carefully.
Do you have the maps on your PC? You imply in your last but one post that you do.
If so, connect your Montana to your PC and run Basecamp. Right click on the Montana in the left hand pane and select 'Install maps'. Then follow the wizard.
