How do I add / edit contacts from my laptop?

Hi, I have purchased a new Garmin NUVI gps for my vehicle.

I have used Garmin Express to transfer my contacts / address book from my old Garmin Nuvi to my new Garmin 2597

What I would like to do is edit this address book, add items, delete items, clean it up and do it from the laptop.

Can someone point to a detailed step by step guide to do this?

Connect your Nuvi To you Laptop and use Basecamp, on the left u see all your Waypoint/Adresses u can edit them from there.

It's not as simple as that. You can't directly edit stuff on a nuvi from within Basecamp. Copy the nuvi stuff into Basecamp. Disconnect the nuvi and delete all of it off the nuvi. Reconnect the nuvi and send the edited data to the nuvi. Disconnect and boot the nuvi, the edited info should now be there. Once it is use Windows Explorer to delete the temp.gpx file from the GPX folder.
