Problems uploading to Garmin Connect

I have just started to use a Garmin 200, very please with it so far. However I have logged all of my past rides on MAPMYRIDE. I think that Garmin Connect is a better tool to use, so I wanted to upload all my past rides to GC. I have tried exporting from MapMyRide as .gpx file and uploading them manually but have had no success... has anyone got any ideas??
