Advice requested moving routes from SD card to 'internal storage'

Hi - I'd be really grateful if someone could help me with this:

Here's the situation:

I have a Garmin GPSMAP62st. I use basecamp for route planning. Recently I created a route and transferred it to the unit by dragging and dropping in the Basecamp LHS panel, where the folder tree is. Carelessly I moved the route to the SD card in the unit and not 'internal storage'. Then when out in the field, I wanted to use the route but I couldn't access it, as I had only the GPS unit (no PC etc where i could run 'basecamp').

Here's the questions:

If I do this again, can I get access to the route file using only menus on the GPS unit? If so could someone tell me the steps to follow please?

Thanks a lot - I'd be lost without you folks <grin>
  • Well I'm not sure how the 62 works but on my Etrex 20 it doesn't matter whether I send the route to the card or the GPS, it just appears in route planner. I would assume the 62 is the same?

Sadly not, at least in my experience, or perhaps because of my limited knowledge of how to work it (isn't the manual PANTS by the way?)
