Garmin Fenix - cannot turn off

Hi,

Has anyone had experience with their Garmin Fenix crashing and then being able to do anything? Mine is stuck on the USB screen with my backlight on and I cannot do a single thing with it. I've held down the reset button countless times (even for prolonged amounts of time :/).

I don't want to have to wait for the battery to drain as it was just on 99%! Plus it's a pretty lame excuse on Garmin's part if that is the only answer.

FYI, mine is doing this right now--locked up on the USB screen, and completely unresponsive. Backlight on.

Did you ever figure out how to break this up? Did the battery eventually dying solve the problem?

same problem here, my tactix is stuck on usb screen , can not re-boot or do anything ...

please help any suggestion ?

I got firmware 4.05 installed.

My Fenix 2 is doing the same thing! Gets stuck on the Power Screen or USB screen. Can't/won't do anything else. Garmin connect doesn't "see" it via USB, even when the indicator is showing. Disappointing, I was loving this device.

After 1 hour in panic, reading another post ( sorry can't remember source) I did find how to restart when is stuck on USB view.

keep pressing top left button for 20 seconds ...

Keep pressing and it will re boot ....

My Fenix 2 always stays turned on after connecting it to Garmin Connect/Strava.
This is clearly a problem that needs sorting as holding the light button each time for 20 seconds is not the right way for this to be having to be turned off after using it!

Had the same problem with Fenix 2 and messing around... I found that is you "safely eject your device" with pc that is. everything works out fine.

GARMIN PROGRAMMERS - PLEASE MAKE A NICE LITTLE "EJECT" DEVICE BUTTON ON GARMIN CONNECT
