Question on battery life

Hi
Is is better to leave the watch in Standby Mode or switch off completely in between uses. I might only use the watch 3-5 times a week. After each workout I connect to the laptop and fully charge the watch while uploading the data. Is this best or should I just upload and then disconnect the watch and only fully charge every 2 weeks?
As my last battery only lasted less than a year, I want to do the right thing.
Thanks
  • If your device has a Lithium Ion (Li-on) battery, you don't have to worry about the memory effect. You should be able to charge it fully after each run. In fact, my experience tells me that it's better to keep it topped off. Running it at low charge has lead to the device shutting off with little or no warning and corrupted files.

    Thanks Brian
After fully charging should I turn the watch off completely until my next run?
  • That's what I do, but because I own a FR305 that can't really be used as a regular watch, there is no point to leaving it on all the time. It's stored in a case between uses.
