I just received my new Oregon 550T today and went online with Garmin to update software, then the problems started. I got a dialog box stating that:
All files were successfully installed.
You must restart the device for the update to take effect.
Disconnect your device from the computer and manually restart it using the power button.
When the restart process is complete, turn the device off.
Reconnect your device to your computer and wait 30 seconds.
When I disconnected from the PC it would not restart. I can plug back into the PC and go into Mass Storage but once I disconnect from the PC it won't start up no matter how long I hold down the power button. Any one have a similar problem? I would try a reset if I could power it back up manually.
