Elevation Gain not Showing

Hi, I got a FR-10 watch for father's day today. It's great - just one question so far. I went on an out-and-back run today and I was able to see my pace, distance and a map on the Dashboard and Analyze/Activity pages. I saved it as a course and on the Explore/Course page I can see the elevation chart. I specified it as the course for my one activity, but the Dashboard and Activity pages are not displaying an elevation gain (it shows "Elevation Gain: --".

My run went down about 300 ft and back up. Since I started and finished at the same point, is that why there is no elevation gain shown? Or is something wrong?

Thanks.

    Hi all - and Garmin,
I too am having the same problem. Over the last 6 weeks, elevation data has been displayed with no problems. Then I uploaded two runs on Friday and today (Sunday) - and no elevation data is showing. As a test, i tried uploading to another site (Strava) and the elevation data was displayed there, which suggests it's a problem with the Garmin Connect site.
Would suggest they fix it fast ...

Hi, yep I'm having the same issue with my FR10, last Monday was fine but Wednesday and today's run has no elevation data (a tad annoying as Wednesday was a hill session I wanted to analyse!). Will email Garmin as well.

    Hi all,
Just started having same problem reported above, FR10 has been working fine for months, uploading runs to Garmin Connect and all details displaying fine. However for over a week uploaded runs not displaying elevation chart - y charts unit is undefined. Come on Garmin sort this out!!
  • This is the answer I have received from Garmin support:
Unfortunately the issue is with Garmin Connect and is something that we are aware of and are working hard towards a resolution for it however we do not have a timeframe for this to be resolved.
    So it's a waiting game I guess :(

Having the same problem as everyone here. As of February 4th, none of my runs have recorded elevation.

To make matters even stranger, I've revisited a few of my workouts/races from earlier times (when elevation certainly worked) and now the elevation profiles of those workouts have disappeared as well.

I've been having the issue too, since Feb 6. All of my runs >= Feb 6 do not have elevation. My run on Feb 4 has elevation (I ran this same course again today, and it does not have elevation).

I've discovered a new problem as well. I compared 4 activities (2 <= Feb4 and 2 > Feb 4), and the 2 > Feb 4 do NOT have splits. But if you view individual details, they do have splits. Do you guys see the same issue? Go to Activities, select 4, and then do compare.

    Thanks

Noticed this yesterday as well. I compared 3 activities, and the one I ran on Feb 8th (which didn't record elevation) didn't show splits in the comparison chart, but worked fine when I clicked on the individual activity page.

Elevation works now. I deleted one of my old runs and re-uploaded it. It worked for my new uploaded run today and the re-uploaded run. However, splits still do not show up when doing Compare with these new ones after Feb 4. I really don't want to have to re-upload all of my runs after Feb 4. Can't Garmin just do this automatically? Do you store the .FIT file on your server after uploading? Also, I don't want to re-upload my old ones, because splits are still not working. So, if I re-upload, then I'll just have to re-re-upload to fix the compare splits problem.

    Please fix (retroactively if possible)
    Thanks

Same here. Just blank. I have some that show and some that don't. Recently all are blank. Not cool for a trail runner...
