Elevation Gain not Showing

Hi, I got a FR-10 watch for father's day today. It's great - just one question so far. I went on an out-and-back run today and I was able to see my pace, distance and a map on the Dashboard and Analyze/Activity pages. I saved it as a course and on the Explore/Course page I can see the elevation chart. I specified it as the course for my one activity, but the Dashboard and Activity pages are not displaying an elevation gain (it shows "Elevation Gain: --".

My run went down about 300 ft and back up. Since I started and finished at the same point, is that why there is no elevation gain shown? Or is something wrong?

    Hello,

    Same problem with my FR 10, I uploaded about 15 races so far with no problem, and today, no elevation on my last race.
    I noticed also that when I compare this race with another, the screen shows no time intervals for this particular race, but intervals for this race are correctly reported when I look at the activity screen

    I tried many times to delete and re-upload: no change.

    The same has occurred to me on my forerunner 10. (also my partner who also has a forerunner 10) The elevation graph is digitally produced from the gps points on your activity. So, if the route is shown, the elevation should show. So there is nothing wrong with the watch. I have contacted Garmin and I urge anyone with the problem to do the same, as it seems to be a software problem on their Garmin Connect site.

    there is another thread on here with the same issue. I reported mine today, and the tech guy did say it should only be a day or so . Incidentally, my partner has the forerunner 10 and this is the first activity she has done since Tuesday (when all was ok) and hers doesn't show the elevation either). I had problems with a Garmin etrex last year, that took months to sort. It ended up with a worldwide software update, so don't hold your breath. I am going to ring them again tomorrow and will post results here

    Hi Im new to forums so not sure if this will show properly, but I am having the same problem, I have a forerunner 10 and it has been showing the elevation gain, however today when I uploaded 2 new runs it is not showing this info, I have tried to upload again but it still has not worked.

    Same problem for me!

    Using an FR10, and been uploading runs with no problems since last April; but this Wednesday's and Fridays runs are missing elevation...

    I have tried deleting and re-uploading, and no luck...

    The course map shows fine, as does the pace; it's just the elevation which is missing.

    If i remember rightly, wasn't there an update done on Tuesday or Wednesday? If so, it seems like the loss of elevation might be related

    Any word from Garmin on this yet?

    Have had this problem before - reported it but nothing seemed to get sorted. It's now happening more regularly.Tried to report it again today and the reporting tool appeared to be broken!

    bump. the elevation gain has not appeared on my last two runs. tried to upload them again but no change in the situation.

    Having PRECISELY the same problem! Very frustrating! Was working perfectly until earlier this week.
