Why would my Nuvi-2495 indicate the R25 as an unpaved road!?
My route started at the corner of Julia and Susanna Road, Birchleigh North, Kempton Park right up to the N3 and then all the way up to NorthGate shopping center. The Garmin indicated the R25 as an unpaved road and since I have unpaved roads as an avoidance, it calculated a route via Tembisa township, past Kyalami and the back stop and go roads to Northgate Shopping center.
Coming back I used the Garmin again as a test - same story. When I un-ticked the paved roads under avoidance it made no difference. It wanted me to take the William Nichol off ramp back to Kempton Park. When I passed the William Nichol and Sunninghill off ramps, the route indicated by the Garmin was correct.
