Feature request, goals: distance in time

Hello,

i would love to use garmin-connect to manage some of my goals, but at the moment the feature is not useful for me. You can only set goals like: "I want to run 20km next week" or "I want to burn 1000kcal in 3 days".
This is fine so far, but for me real goals/milestones would be better. For example i want to swim 50m freestyle in under 30 seconds until the end of 2013, or i want to run 5km in under 20 minutes. I hope some others like the idea of adding the "distance in time" goal.

Kind regards,

aclown

    +1

Sounds like a fab idea.... When I tried to st a sub 45 minute goal for a 10K run the smallest time I could enter was 1 hour.... dur.... Doesn't even accept 0.75 hour ....

Come on Garmin. We, your customers, spend a lot of money on what are in the grand scheme of things luxury gadgets ...

This is one feature that I miss the most..
First goal that I tried to create on Garmin connect was "To run a under 2 hrs HM within two years from today". Couldn't create it

    Simplest implementation could be thus:

User is asked to input - 1) Distance 2) Current Race Time 3) Target Race Time 4) Target Date
    e.g. 21.1 km / 02:25:00 / 01:55:00 / 01-jan-2015

%age completion of goal can then be traced from current date (23-oct-2013) to target date (01-jan-2015)

say on 01-jan-2014 I run a HM in 02:15:00. It'll mean time improvement of 00:10:00 out of total required 00:30:00 leading to 33.33% achievement of the goal
if on 01-jun-2014 I run a HM in 02:05:00. It'll mean time improvement of 00:20:00 out of total required 00:30:00 leading to 66.66% achievement of the goal

Hope I am clear on feature request and hope it arrives soon :)
