Oregon 600T - locking up when viewing Cache descriptions or Hints

Tried my new 600t today, really disappointing could find the geocaches, but it didnt display the number of the series next to the geocache name (although it did manage it once.
And when trying to view the hint or description just would seem to do a search then eventually lock the device requiring a reboot. Have a 1000 geocache .gpx loaded, is this too large?????

I thought the device could handle 1000's of Caches, or do I need many smaller .gpx files.

Latest Firmware on device btw

Thanks for posting this. My wife just gave me a 600t for my birthday and I am having the same problem. Very frustrating as my main use for this GPSr is for geocaching!

Would love some advice from someone on how to prevent this problem.

    Cheers!

Having the exact same problem with a 600

Its pretty disapointing since the reason I bought this thing was to Geocache. So far it seems to do it to about half of them that I have loaded, I only loaded 1 pocket query with about 700 caches in it to test it out. I have since loaded 4 different pocket queries of varying locations/sizes with the exact same result. It is very frustrating in the field when you are trying to view the description of a cache and all you get is a locked up unit.
