gpx files not showing in totals or personal records

My Garmin 800 has recently malfunctioned, and whilst it is away at the suppliers I have been using Strava on my iPhone to record rides. Yesterday I uploaded the gpx files to Garmin Connect, and though they are showing on the dashboard with correct data, I noticed that the mileages recorded have not been added to my totals. Likewise I recorded a highest mileage for the year and this is also not showing. Is this because the rides were not recorded with a Garmin device? If so I assume there is no solution, but if my assumption is wrong I would be really grateful for advice on how to resolve.

Personal Records are logged by the device, so if you do not use a Garmin device, it won't happen automatically. You can assign the new PR manually though. Just click the value and enter a new one. There is also an option "Set as PR" in the activity menu (under the cogwheel symbol), but am not sure whether it works with imported files.
