No, it is a red pointer on the dash board of the map page and on the trip computer if it is selected. Does it point to my destination, the next way point or some shaping point? Does it matter whether I'm navigating a track or a route? BTW what is the difference between navigating a track vs a route?
The red 'pointer' triangle shows the compass bearing, or did you mean red pin? In which case that is created when you 'tap the map' at the point you tap it.
Hey StuartMW, you have an Oregon so you know what I'm talking about. The pointer {a little red arrow} is one data field of about 40 data fields that can go into 10 spaces on the trip computer or on the map page depending the number of data field spaces selected. Where does the pointer point? Or better yet is there a list of the data fields with their definitions?
OK I give up. What is the red pin and how do you use it? I tapped the screen the red pin appeared on the map. I tapped again the pin moved. Cool, but now what?
