Cloning a course

Maybe I will embarrass myself now but I take the risk...

The majority of the times when you chart a new course you would like to start with
an existing one and extend/modify it.
My problem is that I cannot figure out how to do this with Garmin Connect.
Can you?

You can, and it's quite easy. To edit the course just go to the course and click the little edit icon (pencil). To clone a course create a new course from the activity and then edit it. You can then drag points around the map. Drag a point, if you make a mistake just press undo and it will undo the last point you dragged without losing any previous changes. Enjoy :)
  • What seems to be missing is a Save As function in the course edit facility. If you change the name of the course it simply saves the course in the same file with a different name. It would be more helpful if it created a new separate file.

Not sure I understand. How does this allow me to create a copy of an existing course (not an activity) and modify it?

It doesn't allow you to create a copy.

So my question was not so stupid after all. This, I think, is a irritating limitation with Garmin Connect...
