Windows Phone 8

With the Windows Phone 8 blowing up the market, and stealing large chunks of market share from both Apple and Google (iOS and Android respectively), how about developing the Connect Mobile app for the WP8 platform? The API is simple and huge for the WP8 and should be an easy 20 hour port project, which will help expand the usefulness of the 810 and 510 products. Give it a thought. Half a week of one developer's dedicated time. Seriously.

I could really do with this app, I have the Garmin 810 and would really appreciate this app being released, I agree with Kevin,

Here, Here! We need some WP Apps

Garmin has apps in the Windows Phone Store - Garmin StreetPilot is there for a healthy 30 bucks and several from Garmin Wuerzburg GmbH. So they have the developers.

I love my Windows Phone. I love my FR620. I want them to get along. We need the Garmin Connect Mobile app for WP8.

Another vote for this, have a FR220 and Lumia 920, some cooperation would be nice, Adidas is bringing all sorts of stuff and best miCoach app is on WP8, not iOS or Android.

    +1

Support for the Windows Phone ecosystem is key for me personally as I consider upgrades for my FR410, Edge800, G6 and FitBit (with vivofit). Connected devices and social is where it's at and it'd be great to see Garmin continuing to evolve their service and supporting Windows Phone as a growing smartphone ecosystem.

Another vote for Windows Phone 8. With the latest update most devices have bluetooth 4.0 LE support.
  • Another garmin fr 220 user here waiting for the windowsphone app!
  • another FR220 and Vivofit user waiting for a Windows Phone 8 App

Recently switched from Samsung Galaxy S2 (Android) to Lumia 1020 unfortunelately I have to miss out on the Garmin Connect app on my new phone.
For the € 399,- I spent for my Edge 810 I should also expect a decent Windows Phone app.
IMHO Garmin should also invest in the growing Windows Phone market.
