Cadence Sensor Gone Gaga

Hello, I am using an Edge 200 which I find pretty good. Last couple of weeks on one bike the cadence sensor appears to be counting double. Once my pedal revs get to about 75 the display just about doubles it. If my pedal rate slows the reading goes back to normal. I have started using one of those magnets which attaches to the pedal spindle insteadof the manufacturere supplied item. I have the same set up on my otehr bike which is working fine. When I stop pedalling the cadence shows as zero.
A few rides ago my edge 500 was erratic and frequently showing me double the speed I normally ride. I found that the crank magnet was tripping the speed sensor too. Had to move the gsc10 a little further back on the chainstay.
