Training plan - Interval HR zone problem

Former Member
Former Member
Hope someone can help me out, im struggling with the following problem.

I use a Garmin training plan (intermediate half marathon) together with my forerunner 410. The workouts are synched to the watch and all seems to be working fine except for the interval trainings.

Example of an interval workout description:
Run in Z4, threshold 3 minutes.

I assume this would mean: Run in HR zone 4 for 3 minutes.

But my watch will *beep* and warn me when I hit zone 4 and wants me to stay in zone 3.

Is this familiar to anyone?

I am having a very similar issue with my 910 xt. but my workouts say (as an example) 40 min. Z2 135-147 when my Z2 heart rate is set to 142 - 157. I have reset my heart rate zones, recreated my training plans and reloaded all training plans to my watch and it still thinks that my Z2 is 135-147. even says so on the new Garmin Connect calendar even though my settings say otherwise. I have no dea now where it is getting its zone data from but it is not from my personal settings.
  • Are the zone settings on your device the same as those on Garmin Connect?

training interval heartrates on garmin connare always one zone higher as on the watch

Are the zone settings on your device the same as those on Garmin Connect?

Looks to me as if the difference came with the new calendar (april-update of garmin connect)

Again...are the zone settings on your device the same as those on Garmin Connect?

The question needs to be answered...

While this isn't my post, I just had the same experience this morning. My settings are identical in my Garmin Connect settings and the settings on my Garmin 410. I thought maybe I had to send the training plan back to the watch, so I tried that. Just went into my advanced workouts and previewed today's workout. The calendar says I should be in Z4. According to GC, it should be between 144 and 166 bpm. My watch says I should be in 165-174 bpm. Not sure why there's a discrepancy.

    Thanks,

    Mike

I'm having the same problem. My training zones (identical on garmin connect and my watch) say that I should be at 136-148 when in Z2, but my watch says I must be at 111 - 129.
I've tried deleting my training calender, updating all my setting and resending the training calender to my watch, but there's still a discrepancy.
