FR60 "Elevation" data, "Weather" and "Play" - can I use them?

A friend of mine uses an FR10 GPS watch. On Garmin Connect he get the elevation data in a graph below his pace. He also gets weather data and can "play" through his runs.

I use an FR60 and wondered whether I could get all of this info with my nominated courses. My nominated courses (from Google maps) seem to have elevation data associated with them.

At the moment I just get graphs of pace, heart rate and cadence. It would be nice to link it to elevation and record the weather on that day.

Thanks in advance.
  • The FR60 does not have GPS, so there's no way it or Garmin Connect can know where you have been. Therefore, there is know way of knowing your elevation or your weather.

    The FR10 does have GPS.

Thanks very much for the reply. I forgot that I has posted this.

To be more explicit, I figured that there would be a way of deriving it from assigned courses that I have defined in Streetmap. If it is assumed that I start the run in question at the start of the assigned course, then shouldn't it be possible to link the FR60 distance data to the route and add appropriate weather data for the run date at the course location?

In theory, yes this is possible, but I see a lot of problems with this, and that's beyond the intended capability of the FR60. Why not just get a Forerunner with GPS?
