Delete GPS data

I know that I can ignore it... or, if I'm feeling squirrley, go and manually delete them by export and edit in a text editor... but if I know the GPS data is BS because, for example, I'm on an indoor track and the sattalites can't get an accurate track, so its showing a several hundred foot elevation change when I'm on a flat circular track or isn't tracking half my run anyway, I should just be able to delete the GPS data. I think there is a way to stop GPS tracking when I'm on an indoor track (and I'm going to look when I finish here... just got the device and I'm still figuring it out), but for those times when I forget or with my previous runs, I should have that option.

Thanks.
  • Hi,

this task can be easily performed with the Fit File Repair Tool. You can import any FIT and TCX file and do en export with or without GPS data. More information and a trial version can be found on the website http://fitfilerepairtool.info

    Best regards

    *looks at price*

    Bwahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahhahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahahaha!!!!!

That has got to be an April fools joke. $50 for a Microsoft Access file? Get real. I can figure that out on my own, thanks.

It's not a problem. I wasn't looking for a solution. I was making a suggestion. I mean, I have the solution... I can go and manually edit the files. Other than the time needed to do it, that isn't a problem.

My problem with the first response was that he/she/it was hocking a $50 XML editor, which, in addition to being completely outrageous in price, I find it personally offensive and I'm not sure how garmin tolerates commercial communication on their forums. If it was an open source project that someone made for themselves and was offering it up for free as a nice gesture, then cool beans, but I have an issue with making a thread and the first response is a thinly veiled advertisement.... and not even one from the company whose forum I'm on.

The other two are fine... They meant well, but I just wonder about the reading comprehension because I already addressed that in the original post.
