etrex 30 recognition in Garmin Connect

While the etrex 30 unit is supported in Garmin Connect insofar that activities can be downloaded from the unit, it is not identified correctly in the Additional Information pane. There is simply says:

Device: Unknown, 0.0.0.0

This has the consequence that automatic elevation corrections are enabled even though the device has a barometric altimeter. Note that on my.garmin.com, the device is identified correctly with model, firmware version and serial number.
