Elevation chart always shows zero feet

When I view my rides in the web browser at Garmin Connect, my elevation always shows 0 feet as the minimum. I live at 5,000 feet. So if I climb 500 or 1,000 feet during my bike ride, it barely shows up on the Y axis of the chart. I have an Edge 305.

How do I change this? I swear the Y axis used to start 50 or a 100 feet below the minimum elevation during the ride. And if I upload from my Garmin eTrex, the chart doesn't start the Y axis at 0 feet.
  • As I learned recently from another post, you can drag out a selection box with your pointer and see a particular section in more detail. Also, by just hovering the pointer over a particular portion, you can see the data for that point.

I'm having the same problem. My friend has exactly the same watch (Forerunner 410) but his routes show the elevation zoomed around his min and max elevations on Garmin Connect. Seems like this would be an easy software fix.
