510 edge cutting out when swiping the screen

I had my first ride today with the 510, and as this is my first garmin im loving the mass of information currently on my screen!
However, when I swipe the touch screen to try and get to the different display readings, the device just cuts out and freezes. To restart it, i need to hold the power button in on the left hand side. When I get it powered back up, it simply returns back to the current ride as if nothing has happened, so although no/not much data is lost its a bit annoying.
Am I doing something wrong or is this one of the software glitches I have heard a bit about?
Any help would be great,

I picked up and installed my 510 this past weekend and have experienced the same issue on my first ride as you outlined above.

Have you resolved the issue?
