Group section: how to share courses or activities?

Hi, Just noticed the ''group'' feature on Garmin connect. Really cool feature. The help section says that in this area you can share activities or courses with other group members. But how do I do this?
  • Anybody out there who can help me with this? I can't figure out where on this group page you can share activities / courses. Does anyone of you guys use this group feature and if yes, where do you use it for?

Create a group. Invite people to this group.

After you upload a new activity from your device you have to check the activity privacy settings. Open the activity in GC and set the privacy to "connections & groups" . After that this activity will be shown in your group. In your settings of GC you can set the standard privacy to "connections & groups" so that EVERY new activity will be shown to your connections and in your groups.

I have a group for my MTB buddies and the swim buddies dont see the mtb activities.

Mmmm if that's the only feature of this group page, it's not really interesting. Thought that you could add courses on this page (for instance the course that is planned for next weekend), and everybody can send this to his device. Dissapointing.....

Yes, the group functions are very limited to the basics. Garmin announced in last update with the heat maps, that new group features are "right about the corner". I hope they include sometihng like group goals, attach courses or group progress in some kind. I dont know what they will implement but there will be something in a few days/weeks.
