Can't login to Garmin Connect of mobile (Aus)

Has anyone had trouble logging in to Garmin Connect APP on their mobile?

I'm in Australia, on Virgin, with a Samsung Galaxy S2. Internet access is normal for other sites.
I can login to Garmin Connect via Firefox on my mobile no problem, but not using the app..?
I can also login to Garmin Connect on all of my regular computers.

When I attempt to login I keep getting the message;
"Network Error - Cannot connect to the network. Try Again"

I'm wondering if it's a device setting that's preventing me from entering the site.. or something?

All help is much appreciated as I've just got an 810 and am keen to activate the LiveTrack feature, but to do so need to be able to login to Garmin Connect using the app!!

Cheers,
Scotty

    "crickets"....

    I cannot find one single person in Australia who has actually got Livetrack to work... let alone get the Garmin Connect app to work, which would be a start.

    Too hard basket I think.

    So now I've just dropped 500 bucks on a upgrade that I could have done without. Good one Garmin.

    www.greenalp.com has an awesome free app that does livetrack (15 second updates) and shows everything bar H/R and cadence, and it's easier and doesn't require a bluetooth pairing.

    Should have just stuck with my Garmin 500 and saved all that extra coin.
  • Hi,
    I have Android 4.x Jelly bean and it gives an error connecting to 3g. Wifi its ok.

    I found a solution, cleaned the proxy and port in mobile network settings, as i saw in xda post, and now works fine over 3g.
    See my post, maybe its your case:

    Sweet! Thanks Pedro.

    It worked!
    For those who don't quite understand the directions or need the Aussie translation, what you do is this (for my Samsung GS2 anyway);
    Go into
    Settings > More> Mobile Networks> Access Point Names> {your provider} >
    and simply delete the numbers in the Proxy and Port settings so they say 'not set' instead of the numbers that are there.

    Now, to work out the rest of it :)
