Tracking only mode

A mode where there is no information displayed on the screen, but the device is still tracking.
It could have a flashing LED to indicate it was in this semi-on mode.

Basically to save battery by not using the display screen.
In stead of 10 hours tracking, it could extend battery life for tracking-only to 20 or more?
