With about 100 caches stored on my etrex, I'd like to get rid of 40 of them already found. Can anyone help tell me how to do this? I can delete the entire gpx file when the etrex is connected to my computer, but that would erase the unfound ones also. Is the answer to find an application that can edit the gpx file? I just now figured out that the etrex filter that reduces the number of geocaches shown depends on one important factor I had not known about. When you mark a cache as FOUND, it is also necessary to mark it as DONE. It is this mark (done) that gets the cache off the screen, not the mark (found) that counts. Up until now, after I marked a cache found, I took the next step - "Find Next Closest" in order to do another cache. Taking that step doesn't get the DONE mark, and the cache remains on the (to do) list. Thanks for any help in learning more about the actual deletions also - that would be useful as well at the end of the day.
