I was out fishing when the GPS alarmed with a message the sonar was disconnected. After investigation found wiggling the sonar cable connector (about 1.5 feet from the GPS) brought the sonar back. Occurred several additional times. At one point it came on/off at about 30 second intervals. The home screen only had 4 (rather than 6) choices just like without a transducer.
At home where I have a power supply and no transducer, I powered it up, and there are 6 choices on the home screen, just as if I had a transducer. I checked to make sure the simulator was off.
There may be 2 things going on here, the most important being the intermittent connection. If I wanted to disassemble the connector, any hints to do that?
