I am relatively new to the handheld GPS world. I have figured out most of the basics and even some advanced features for Basecamp, MapInstaller, etc. However, I am still at a huge loss on how to put all this info to work for me.
I can't be the only person that notices a HUGE vacuum on the Garmin Tutorial Video site on step-by-step usage of something as simple as navigating a track in the woods.
I've bought the etrex 20 and plan (HOPE) to walk the property lines of our land in the mountains of Virginia. I've gotten tracks created with specific waypoints to hit and mark those lines, corners, etc. Not quite a true, "legal" survey but something at least letting me know if my neighbors are encroaching onto our acreage.
Does anyone have any recommendations? BTW, YouTube is crammed with these sort of things but I find nothing with very detailed how-to info for using these devices.
