Slow Down The Player! It's unusable

Sorry, i have seen this posted elsewhere, but the thread is 3 years old.

i would love to use the player to track my development, its a great tool!

but why is it so quick? i can't observe and understand multiple data fields for a 1hr 30min ride in 30 seconds! it needs to playback at 1x speed.

please add this feature.

thanks.
  • Yeah, it is a little quick even with the speed slider all the way back at "turtle". But you can pause the player and click on the graph and both the red index line on the graph and the red position marker on the map will move to that location plus you get the fly out window with the data values. The you can just click along the graph to see the different values at specific locations.

It would be nicer to be able to click on the map along your track, but with a little effort clicking on the graph, you can find the value for the part of the track you're interested in.

The player is a great feature, but I agree it would be great to be able to slow it down - right down to real time if you want to see what is happening on one particular section. Magellan Active has a nice feature where you click on the map and that translates to the graph and also if you clip on a lap split the graph zooms to that section so you can view lap by lap which is great. Another great feature with Magellan is that you can put more than two curves on the chart at a time. I like to see Elevation, HR, Pace and cadence shown simultaneously to give me the whole picture.

I have been using Garmin now for over half a year and wondered from day 1 the warp speed issue in the player, in TURTLE mode I mean.

@Garmin staff: should be an easy fix to make it a very slow turtle, not ?? Hope you guys actually read the forum...
