I just used my 2nd Nuvi and was amazed at how bad the directions were that is was providing. This new Nuvi is a 50LM. I am traveling from CT to south FL. The route that is was trying to send me through Westchester County, New York, and northern NY were really bad. I believe had I followed them I would have been in much more traffic. My older Nuci always sent me on a route to aviod heavy metropolitan traffic. Any way to program the prefered route through a certain area? Thanks in advance.
Check your avoidances and routing settings, ensure you don't have any funny avoidances set and routing is set to fastest. Unfortunately after that there isn't much you can do as the 50 is a basic model.
