Base camp help needed

I have a etrex ledgend and it works great on map source but base camp says no deivce connected anyone got any ideals im useing a RS232 adaptor but it works on map source so i figured it should work on base camp PLEASE HELP

Although MapSource must be used to actually transfer data to/from serial devices one can import/export data into/out of BaseCamp to/from MapSource.

i.e. BaseCamp <- files -> MapSource <- serial connection -> device

I do this anyway even though BaseCamp does support my units as I prefer separate GDB files for my data vs BaseCamp's single database.
