Garmin connect calendar sync

I'm sure this has already been asked but is there any way to sync the Garmin Connect Calendar with Google calendar or any other calendars ? I put in a training plan and if I don't keep an eye on the Garmin connect calendar OR the watch, I don't know what to expect in advance.

Thanks
Cheers.

  • I've gotten the Google calendar to accept the url. The only drawback is it only imports from the 1st of August until the 22nd and leaves all other entries beyond this blank....

This is the same for me. I copy the URL - download automatically when link is input. I have default calendar as iCal, this loads just fine (as an all day event), but still can't get anything beyond 4.5 weeks to the day on a 12 week training program.

I have the same problem. Only a month's training schedule was synced in my calendar. I'm using a Mac and Apple Calendar. Please help.

    Calendar setup

Here is an article from the FAQ's that should help you with this process.

  • One thing your Calendar must have some workout in the calendar otherwise iCal won't subscribe to it

A year later. It still doesn't work. I can check the http content and it's delivering 0 bytes.

Then you're doing it wrong Rory. It works as stated by many people above, I've just synced mine to Google Calendar following Will500's description in the 4th post.

If you read this thread, it clearly states that only future planned workouts are published (i.e. not past activities) and only up to 30 days in advance. The FAQs linked to by Hawktalk state

If you use the provided URL to publish your Garmin Connect calendar to a third party calendar, the 30 days of published workouts will refresh each day. This means that with each day that passes, one additional day from your Garmin Connect calendar will appear on your third party calendar. This is the most convenient option for keeping your third party calendar current with the information on your Garmin Connect calendar.

Alternatively, when choosing to download your Garmin Connect calendar as an ICS file**, the 30 days of published workouts will not automatically update over time. You will need to publish and download a new ICS file from your Garmin connect calendar in order to view future workouts on a third party calendar.

Only being able to see 30 days in advance isn't exactly ideal for long term planning, but should be more than enough for day-to-day situations.

Thanks Garmin, this is very useful!
  • and almost a year later, nothing is happening yet for me either.

I was able to use the FAQ as listed in msg #35 to upload my Garmin calendar to Google. Only the first week of the training plan appears. I'm starting the plan after Christmas, on 12/29. So the first week of the plan corresponds to one month from today.

I also was able to transfer the entire training plan to my 920XT and the workouts appear as expected.

Hi, Bob. I was not able to transfer my Garmin calendar to my 920Xt. How did you do that? Can you describe a step by step? By the way, I can sync my calendar to Apple calendar without any issues.
