GSC10 Issue

Hi All,

Sorry if this has been posted, just got a GSC10, installed and it was working well (first ride). Now it seems the speed sensor is not working.

The speed sensor has to touch the sensor arm in order to register (but this is not practical as it makes noise and I'm sure that's not right).

I've played with different arm positions and moved the speed sensor around and I cannot get a consist pass anymore.

The pedal sensor works great, does not miss a beat.

Any suggestions?

You shouldn't have to have the magnet (that you attached to the spoke) touching the sensor arm - 2 to 3mm is probably ideal. Do you have the magnet oriented correctly (flat side towards sensor, screw away from sensor)? Also, there is a vertical line molded into the speed sensor arm, about 3/4 of the way towards the tip of the arm. The magnet should pass along that line or further towards the tip for best results.
  • Try a new battery. Apparently speed sensor is first to go with battery issues.

Thanks for the reply, replaced the battery and sadly didn't work. Going to try a stronger magnet (as I have seen that work for some others).
  • If it's new, take it back and get it changed under warranty. It should work fine with the provided magnet as long as it is installed correctly.
