Syncing GC calendar with external calendar (iCal, Outlook, etc.)

Hi all!

I would like like to know if there is a way of syncing Garmin Connect's calendar with an external calendar like Outlook, iCal or another one.

If not, is it possible to subscribe to Garmin Connect's calendar with Outlook, iCal, etc.?

Thanks a lot in advance!

  • The button for ICal export and export to devices has been removed recently... :( Does anybody have a new solution for the export issue? And why in the world did they remove this? Exporting the workout to my devices was one of the features that I enjoyed the most!
  • Not sure what you mean as regards export of workouts - the send to device button is there both in the workouts screen and also on the calendar view - both in Classic and Modern connect

In respect of the ICAL function I haven't used that I just publish the url for the calendar using the button in the calendar view then put that url in my outlook calendar on my pc and in the native calendar on my Android tablet and phone
  • The sharing feature of Garmin Connect to iCal doesn't work. In iCal, choosing File -> New Calendar Subscription, and putting in the URL provided by Garmin Connect, will result in the following error: There was an unexpected error with the request on subscribed calendars (error -1).

    Update:
I also tried the same with Google Calendar. It still doesn't work. After choosing Other Calendars -> Add by URL, the following error results:
The address that you provided did not contain a calendar in a valid iCal or GData format.

This feature is useless right now.
  • I'm puzzled by this as mine is currently working. Have you tried temporarily switching to connect classic and trying. I guess it may be a region related issue as I know it works for lots of people. have you logged it with Garmin support
  • Same for me. The url does not work in Google. When I copy the adress to Chrome or Internet explorer it is just a blank page.
  • Are you doing this in Modern or Classic - I am still running classic and have not tried in Modern although I would have expected it to use the same code behind the scenes,

I have my calendar subscribed to in Google Calendar and also in outlook - this has worked consistently over the last couple of years - perhaps it is location dependent or language dependent - I am in the UK on GMT timezone running in English.
  • yes, same with me too. not working in google or mac calendar. tried modern and traditional. tried .com and .cn. getting same error messages as ALFRAZIER.
  • Have you reported to Garmin support - also what language, region, timezone are you in
