Okay, so maybe I'm presumptuous and the subject header should read "I want" instead of "We want".
Am I the only one geeky enough to want support for the Garmin footpod in the GPSMAP 62 series? It already tracks heart rate, bicycle speed/cadence and temperature from tempe devices. I recently went hiking with my 62sc, and to capture steps-per-minute data I had to take my FR70 watch along as well.
I'm not sure what practical use this information has for hiking, but wouldn't you like to count how many steps you took on the Appalachian Trail?
Adding this support would, however, make the 62-series more useful for adventure/trail runners and those who like carrying something like the GPSMAP when they run. Add in Calorie calculations, and we could use the device to upload a complete set of data to Garmin Connect!
My 62sc is a rather premium device in the Garmin lineup, so it seems like there shouldn't be much that it CANNOT do.....
