Can't Export Swim Workout

I have been exporting my swim workouts to tcx and today the option to export was no longer there for my pool swim workouts.

    Same here. If you need to get the tcx export you should be able to by using the following URL. Replace #ACTIVITY_ID# with the ID of your activity.
    connect.garmin.com/proxy/activity-service-1.1/tcx/activity/#ACTIVITY_ID#?full=true

    CAMSMITH74, you can find the Activity ID by looking at the URL when you view the activity. It will be a big number at the end of the URL.

    I just tried everything again after website update. I tried to Export via .TCX file and also tried

    connect.garmin.com/proxy/activity-service-1.1/tcx/activity/#ACTIVITY_ID#?full=true

    to no avail as well.

    Why hasn't anyone tried to fix this? I need to export some swimming files!

    Hello? Does anyone care about this anymore or has everyone gone to a different watch? I have the Garmin 910XT!



    Well I do not have a 910 but here is a wild guess. :o

    Are you logged in to Garmin Connect before you click someones link to their files?

    I found that when not logged in I could not Export their files. I could only Send a course to my device.

    I am just talking about logging into my own personal garmin connect and downloading the .tcx file from the export button. When I do that it only sends part of the information and not all of it to the file. Also the link included in this thread is not loading all of the information into the link.

    I am exporting it into a file and re uploading it to a different garmin connect account; that is how I know not all of the information is transferring. not of the pictures or graphs show up.



    Just another wild guess here.:confused:

    The 910 uses FIT files and Swim tracks seem to be difficult for the Fit File Repair Tool to fix.
    GC does not export FIT and maybe GC is having trouble converting FIT to TCX.

    So....have you tried exporting to Device (that should be a FIT file) and then Uploading to the 2nd account with the 910?

    .tcx files are stored in the Activities folder. Pool swims only create a .fit file. Locate relevant files by the date stamps.

    so do I upload the .fit file directly to Garmin Connect to put the .fit file back on my watch and then upload to Garmin Connect? And if I put it back on my watch how do I do that?


    If you find your FIT file stored on your computer (by the ANT stick) then just do a Manual Upload to your 2nd Garmin Connect account.
    You will not need to use the 910 at all.
